Job Title: SEO Technical Specialist
Reports to: President
Position: Full Time – 40 hours, Nonexempt

The SEO Specialist will be responsible for managing our SEO efforts and developing SEO strategies for multiple clients in varying industries. The new person should be an outstanding team member with critical thinking, analytical, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a virtual environment.


  • Conduct technical audits for client websites, identify technical limitations, analyze site health and
    recommend strategies for growing organic traffic
  • Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
  • Determine measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in marketing efforts
  • Monitor content performance and deliver recommendations that will optimize and enhance upcoming
    content calendars and campaigns
  • Develop optimization strategies that increase our client’s search engine results rankings
  • Perform on-page optimization, including internal linking, meta data, keyword usage and density, etc.
  • Perform competitor analysis and report on SEO strategies and techniques used by our competitors
  • Conduct technical audits for client websites, identify technical limitations, analyze site health and
    recommend strategies for growing organic traffic
  • Effectively establish and maintain client relationships by carefully listening to clients with the goal of
    helping to create a web presence tailored to their needs
  • Communicate client progress with the team members
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Vast experience with SEO and how it applies to online marketing
  • Two to three years of experience in successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns
  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
  • Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools
  • Good understanding of e-commerce and CMS platforms such as WordPress, BigCommerce, Google
    Business Suites, Slack and other technologies.
  • Technical experience with UX design as it applies to SEO strongly preferred
  • Excellent copywriting skills in both short and long format
  • Extensive knowledge of WordPress, specifically Yoast and/or RankMath Plug-In
  • A deep understanding of mobile opportunity and how mobile content relates to SEO
  • Extensive knowledge of SEMRush, Google Search Console and G4
  • An understanding of how to use social media platforms for brands across multiple social channels
    (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Sprout, Linked In, etc.)
  • Excellent multitasking skills and creative mindset
  • Must be a team player and have a willingness to learn, grow, and help out where needed
  • Agency experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent understanding of digital best practices such as SEO, SEM, SMO, and PPC.
