Every Team Needs a Strong Bench

Strong Benches, Stronger Communities

Everyone who knows me knows I’m a huge sports fan. Basketball, baseball, football, golf—you name it, I’m watching. There’s nothing like the energy of a live game. I caught quite a few Indiana Fever games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse last season, and the experience never disappoints. The crowd, the buzzer-beaters, the stars like Caitlin Clark—it’s electric.

After my last game, I started thinking about everything happening behind the scenes. What about the players on the bench, the ones whose talent and depth don’t always get the spotlight? The ushers checking tickets? The crews cleaning the stands? Every one of them matters. Without them, there are no stars, and there is no game.

Then, I got to thinking about other “benches” in my personal and professional life—especially in the nonprofit world. Every nonprofit relies on a strong bench of volunteers, donors, and supporters. They step up without expecting applause, making it possible for these organizations to serve their communities.

Just as I am passionate about the Fever, I’m equally driven to support the nonprofits we work with at Proof Digital. Here’s a look at what we’ve recently accomplished and what’s coming next:

  • Built a website for Seeds of Change, a nonprofit providing free medical, dental, vision, and hearing care to low-income, uninsured, and underinsured women, children, and families.
  • Launched a new website for Self Advocates of Indiana, an organization advocating for equal rights, respect, and inclusion for people with disabilities.
  • Designed a 40th anniversary logo for Tangram‘s website and marketing efforts.
  • Gearing up to be a sponsor for the 4th Annual Band Together for Tangram on May 4, supporting their mission to empower Hoosiers with disabilities.

Check out these incredible nonprofits. They do so much for our community.

And to everyone on my bench—thank you. Let’s talk soon.
